Site Updates 5/03/09

We have made a couple changes to the site today that should improve your experience shopping at Real Cheap Tools.

First of all, we have upgraded the way discounts are applied to certain items, such as Scaffold Ratchets.

Secondly, we have replaced the way product images are displayed, go click on a product image to check it out.

Changes to Discounts:

The changes we made to the discount system for customers involve adding a section to the cart that displays the active discounts, the money you save, and the subtotal. This is to prevent confusion some people had with the old system where discounts were displayed only at checkout.

We have fixed the bug where users could only have one discount applied at a time. You can now have multiple discounts activated for multiple items. Such as buying 10 Easy Grip Scaffold Ratchets, and 30 normal ones.

There have been a lot of changes that you can't see as well. We have upgraded the system to allow us to provide more advanced discounts to you in the future.

Changes to Product Images:

We have replaced the old image container known as Thick box with Lightbox 2. You will notice that images load faster now. We have also added animations to make the transition feel nicer and added a button to view an even bigger image on select images.
